Visa Appointment

Dear Applicant,
Please be informed that no appointment is required for the VISA application submission at BLS centres. Visa applicants may visit our centre with required documents between 09:00 am to 01:00 pm from Monday to Friday except for listed holidays.
Please note applicants who seek an emergency visa ( Death/Extreme medical urgency ) can visit our centre between 09:00 am to 01:00 pm (Monday to Friday except for listed holidays) along with proof of emergency and a confirmed flight ticket.

TOURIST VISA – IMPORTANT UPDATES !!!

Resumption of Tourist Visa to India

(i) Foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism purposes have been allowed to enter into India on Tourist Visa/ e-Tourist Visa through chartered flights (for group tourism only) from 15 October 2021;

(ii) All individual foreign nationals intending to travel to India for tourism purposes through Vande Bharat Mission, Air Bubble Scheme or by any scheduled/ non-scheduled commercial flights as allowed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation would be permitted to enter India from 15 November 2021.

(iii) The above-mentioned foreign nationals would be required to obtain a fresh Regular Tourist/ e-Tourist Visa from Missions/ Posts abroad or BOI. Existing valid e-Tourist Visa/ Regular Tourist Visa continue to remain suspended and thus cannot be used.

(iv) Foreign nationals may be granted fresh single-entry Regular Tourist/ eTourist visa for 30 days only by Missions/Posts abroad and BOI. The first 500,000 Tourist Visas would be issued on 'Gratis' basis and is admissible only once per tourist.

(v) Such foreign nationals shall be permitted to enter India by sea routes or by flights only. However, entry through land ICPs is not permitted.

(vi) In respect of quarantine and all other health / COVID-19 related matters, extant guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shall be strictly adhered to.

(vii) Visa applications of all categories (except individual regular Tourist Visa) would be accepted at both centres of M/s BLS International from Nov 01, 2021. Individual Tourist Visa application may be submitted at any of the two BLS Centres form Nov 08, 2021. Visa applications may be submitted at BLS on all working days.

Visa services - requirements & details
Foreign nationals are allowed to enter into India on the new passport even if Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) (e-visa) has been issued on the old passport, provided foreign nationals carry the old passport on which ETA was issued.

Following are the general guidelines for applying for an Indian visa from Singapore. Please go through the details and prepare your application accordingly.

General Requirements

  1. All Visa applicants between 12 years and 70 years will have to record their Biometrics at the time of submission of their visa applications, with immediate effect.
  2. The High Commission accepts the applications of Diplomatic / Official passport holders directly at its premises.
  3. Visa application has to registered on the link https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa  under Regular Visa application. After saving the application a print out of the application should be signed by the applicant. Fax Form for Visa needs to submitted along with Visa application for all Non-Singapore National.
  4. Address on the Fax Form should always contain Home Country Address of the applicant.
  5. Applicants holding dual citizenship are requested to update the information on the online application form. Also the applicant should intimate on the application form if he is holding two passports of same nationality as well. Copy of both passports has to be attached along with Visa application.
  6. The Passport whose Nationality is linked to the Singapore IC / EP / S Pass /Work Permit has to be submitted for Visa. ( For Example - Applicant holds both USA and Italy Passports , If the nationality on Singapore IC reflects as USA , then the USA passport has to submitted for Visa ).
  7. If the old passport contains a valid visa, then old passport also has to be submitted for visa application. Valid Visa on the old passport has to be cancelled before the issuance of new visa.
  8. Applicants are requested below details while submitting online visa application , One Reference Name /Complete Address /Contact Number in Singapore One Reference Name / Complete Address /Contact Number in India
  9. Birth Certificate copy to be submitted along with Passport copy if the minors doesn't hold Singapore IC.
  10. All applicants applying for visa must bring passport copy and IC copy (NRIC, Re-entry permit, EP, S Pass or work-permit)
  11. One latest white background passport size photograph. Photograph should be taken less than 6 months. Passport must be valid for more than six months with at least two blank pages at the time of submission of application.
  12. It is to be noted that Passports will be released only when Visa is released. Any emergency withdrawal of Passport before the Visa release for Non-Singaporean , applicant must give in writing the reason for release of Passport and the travel itenary copy to be provided for travel needs.
  13. Applicants are insisted for the purchase of the ticket only after obtaining the visas
  14. All Non - Singaporean Passports will take 6 to 7 Working days for India Visa. Please do not book tickets until you get the visa.
  15. Validity of all visas is counted from the date of their issue.
  16. If the visa is valid for a stay of more than 180 days, registration with FRRO is compulsory within 14 days of first arrival in India for all visas other than Business visas. VISA FOR ORIGIN OF CHINA / NIGERIA / SOMALIA / IRAN / IRAQ / AFGANISTHAN / PAKISTAN HOLDERS ARE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL. FRROs/FROs cum Superintendents of Police can grant Landing Permit to the foreigners arriving in India by air or sea without valid visa under emergency situation like death/illness in the family upto a period of maximum three days.
  17. Visa applicants are advised to submit their previous cancelled passport along with existing valid passport while processing the visa application at BLS centres.

Minor Applicant 
a- in case if one of the parents is not travelling, a NOC needs to submit by the non-travelling parent.
b- In case of parents is divorced /Custody  - Copy of divorce decree/custody document issued by the courts needs to be attached along with the visa application.

Things to be Noted on Online Application Form

  1. Once online filled application is saved it cannot be edited. All information has to be filled as per passport only.
  2. No manual changes on the application form will be allowed.
  3. Information on Point I has to have Name of the reference person in India and Singapore.
  4. Address details wherever asked for has to complete. Incomplete address and contact details will not be accepted.
  5. Singapore National ID number has to be IC number
  6. If middle name is there in passport it has to be filled along with Given Name
  7. In Place of Birth asked in application it has to be exact place of birth not the country of birth
  8. Father and Mother particulars has to be complete
  9. Employment details along with designation, employer name and address has to be in full. If the applicant is unemployed ie house wife or student or child the employment details of either spouse or father has to be mandatory.
  10. Any error on passport particulars and personal particulars the form has to be re-filed again with correct details.
