Power of attorney - requirements & details

Requirements

For Indian National

  1. Applicant must come in person.
  2. Original Passport must be submitted along with application.
  3. Passport copy (photocopy of first and last page) is required
  4. Each page of the POWER OF ATTORNEY document must be self-attested and photograph must be attached at the last page and it must be self-attested.
  5. Copy of self-attested power of attorney to be submitted along with the application.
  6. Sticker form which is available at BLS.
  7. Two latest photographs.
  8. Original and copy of IC (EP, PR, DEP, WP, SPASS and Others).
  9. Processing time is 2 working days.

For Foreign Nationals

  1. Applicant must come in person.
  2. Original and copy of Passport to be submitted along with application
  3. Two recent passport size photographs required
  4. Applicant's photograph must be affixed on the last page of the document duly notarized by a Singapore notary public.
  5. Copy of self-attested power of attorney to be submitted along with the application.
  6. Sticker Form which is available at BLS.
  7. Original and copy of IC (EP, PR, DEP, WP, SPASS and Others).
  8. Processing time is 2 working days.

Important Note :

  1. For Singaporean and Foreign nationals: Non-Indian nationals requiring attestation of Power of Attorney executed by them may note the following requirements before applying at any of the collection centers: Documents required:
  2. Please get the Power of Attorney notarized by a Notary Public along with Photo affixed. Details of notaries are available on https://www.sal.org.sg/
  3. Each page of Power of Attorney should be signed by the executor and stamped by Notary Public. Notary should also stamp/sign on photograph.
  4. Please bring your National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) and Passport along with a photocopy.
  5. Documents that are not in English must be accompanied by an official English translation. The applicants can get their documents translated from recognized translators or any gazette organization like Commissioner of Oaths, Gujarati Society, DAV School etc. Please bring original and copies for attestation of the translated document.
  6. In case applicant is not an Indian national or the document is made in a country other than India, the document needs to be notarized by a public notary before submission with the authorized collection center.
  7. Please also note that the POA is required to be registered with the concerned Land Department of the State government within 3 months of its execution.

All pages and the photograph on the last page of Power of Attorney has to be attested by Notary Public.
